How to use your Dosha quiz results:
Use your quiz totals and the information below to determine your Dosha!
Vatta = V and VE Pitta = P and PE Kapha = K and KE
The total score for each section provides you with an assessment of your current state of Dosha balance/imbalance. If, for example, your results are:
V+VE = 75 P+PE = 68 K+KE = 50
You would be considered a Vata-Pitta, with Kapha less prominent. Your overall focus, then should be on balancing Vata and Pitta.
If one Dosha is 15 more points higher than the next, that Dosha can be considered the most dominant. If this is the case, you could consider yourself primarily a single Dosha type. For example, if your results are:
V+VE = 80 P+PE = 60 K+KE = 45
You would be considered a Vata constitution, with Pitta and Kapha less represented.
The second level of understanding comes from looking at the balanced and imbalanced components of each Dosha. If the imbalanced portion is a substantial component of the total Dosha score, this is a strong indication to identify and correct the aspects of your life that are not in harmony. For example, if in the above example, the Vata score breaks down in the following manner:
V+VE = 80 V = 55 VE = 25
This suggests that if some of the Vata imbalances were addressed, the total Vata score may be reduced. If you focused on going to bed at a regular hour, doing a daily oil massage and practicing regular meditation, a repeat test taken several months later may show the following scores:
V+VE = 65 V = 55 VE = 10
P+PE =60
K+KE = 45
With some of the imbalance in Vata reduced, Vata and Pitta become more equivalent and your constitutional type would more appropriately be characterized as Vata-Pitta.
We recommend re-taking the examination every four to six months to monitor your state of mind body balance and identify areas that need more attention.
